Lexi Parra is a Venezuelan-American photographer, visuals producer and educator based between Caracas and New York. Her personal work tends to focus on youth culture, migration, the personal effects of inequality and violence, and themes of resilience.

In both stills and motion, she tells complex and empowering stories that reflect life in their honesty, beauty, and intimacy.

Her ongoing project, What Remains, has been shortlisted for a Marie Stafford Award, received the Diversify x Getty Inclusion Grant, and was supported by the Pulitzer Center Reporting Grant.

She is the community manager at Women Photograph, as well as a proud member of WP, Diversify Photo and NPPA.

Parra is the founder of Project MiRA , a photo education initiative that fosters visual literacy and empowerment with young women in the barrios of Caracas. Project MiRA has been supported by The US Embassy and the Davis Peace Prize.

Her degree is in Photography and Human Rights, from Bard College.

She is bilingual (Spanish, English) and available for commissions and assignments internationally, as well as speaking and teaching engagements.
